In 2016 figures showed an estimated 40.3 million people worldwide were in modern slavery.
Modern slavery is a current global issue, which preys on the most vulnerable people within society and can take on many forms such as human trafficking, slavery, servitude and forced labour.
Human trafficking is considered an AML predicate offences by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
